MAZE TROUBLE

I know you’ll be trouble, but a trouble I’ve missed

I know you’ll be trouble but the feeling persists

I know you’ll be trouble with an extra twist

And the trouble will be double if I don’t resist

You look like trouble as I knew you would

You would be trouble that was understood

You will be trouble and it won’t be good

But I don’t walk away as I know I should

You were double trouble -  should have hedged my bets

You were double trouble from the minute we met

You were double trouble but my mind was set

And I plunged straight in despite the trouble I’d get

I know you’re trouble but your figure’s exquisite

We’ll make double trouble for the length of my visit

‘I can’t offer much but what I’ve got I’ll give it’

And I plunge straight in to your parts of privet

I don’t know where we’re going but I don’t resist,

I don’t know what to think as I fumble and twist,

I don’t know what to do but I might as well persist,

In the search for your heart that I appear to have missed.

.

What trouble you were as you led me astray!

What trouble you were with your dead-end ways

And I plunged straight in and you led me astray

What trouble you were! (I’m rarely troubled these days)

And that’s the last time ever that you’ll lead me astray

Up exquisite paths of privet on a dead-end day

Up exquisite paths of privet, up your mazey ways

Up yours, Hedge Maze, UP YOURS!
