MARMALADE
Feeling fruity, feeling zesty,
Bitter orange breakfast bestie,
You, me, butter, toast,
Of all the spreads, I love you most.
Marmalade, yes marmalade,
Jars of orange on parade,
Thick cut, thin cut, every shade,
You’re the king of jams and spreads.
Wakey wakey, I can’t waity,
Sugar rushy, morning matey,
Piles of toastie, me and you,
Down on Breakfast Avenue.
Marmalade, yes marmalade,
I’ll stick with you, I won’t be swayed,
By the other jars out on display,
You’re the king of jams and spreads.
Ready sliced, our toast is done,
My shiny, peely, chunky chum,
On the top or in a sandwich,
You’re up my alley, you talk my language.
Marmalade, yes marmalade,
Cooked up in Spain now here to stay,
What better way start the day?
It’s the king of jams and spreads.
Feeling sharp and feeling sticky,
Marmalade is finger-licky,
The orange joy is taking hold,
I’m spooning out the breakfast gold.
Marmalade, yes marmalade,
Jars of orange on parade,
Cooked up in Spain now here to stay,
I’ll stick with you, I won’t be swayed
By the other jars out on display,
Thick cut, thin cut, every shade,
What better way start the day?
You’re the king of jams and spreads
